Throughout my design studies, I've managed to identify my area of specialization: hospitality. 
To further my education in this new field, I chose to enroll in the course 'Designing Care Services & Systems' at Parsons School of Design - The New School, taught by Professor Courtney Marchese, in which, we explored how design can transform healthcare systems.

During this course, I conducted a research project focusing on the experience of patients with chronic diseases and the digitalization of their medication prescriptions.

The problem to address was the lack of information about the status of their medications and the different financial aids available in each region. The only way to obtain this information and know the medication prices (which vary by region) was to visit a pharmacy in person or communicate by phone with the family doctor. This posed a significant challenge for elderly individuals, who often felt insecure about whether they would have access to the necessary medications. Furthermore, communicating with the doctor was complicated for most patients due to their lack of experience and digital skills.

To carry out the project, I closely followed the experience of a patient. Thanks to this, I could identify the challenges they faced and develop guidelines to address the problem.
As a result of this study, I designed a booklet titled “The Prescription Management Playbook”.
